Dancers
Laia Kinnunen
Laia is the founder of Mambo Sisters and the group's main choreographer. She has been dancing salsa since 1997. Only a year later she won the Miss Salsa title at La Isla in Stockholm. Her great talent for salsa has been evident ever since. In 1999 she moved to the UK where she improved her style and started to teach salsa at various clubs together with the Tropicana Dance School.
Laia has developed some unique dancing skills and is famous for her advanced footwork patterns. She masters all salsa styles, i.e. Cuban, Colombian, Los Angeles style as well as New York style on 2. Her heart, however, is in mambo and chachacha.
With her dance partner Alberto Anturi, Laia has made a name for herself in salsa competitions. They came 2nd at the Swedish Championships for couples in 2005, as well as in the Nordic Open Salsa Championships in Denmark in 2006. In 2007 they won first prize at the Swedish Salsa Championships, earning the chance to represent Sweden at the Puerto Rico Congress in July 2007.

Anna Dahlberg
Anna grew up with sports rather than dance, being a promising tennis player in her teens. It was only in 2001 that she decided to give salsa a chance and started to take classes. She soon made impressive progress though, and became one of the founding members of Mambo Sisters.
Anna’s dancing is characterized by a smooth and clean style as well as good technique. She has continued to improve her dancing through frequent trips to international salsa congresses and, more recently, by taking ballet classes.
Anna works as an editorial writer at Expressen, the second largest newspaper in Sweden. She covers foreign affairs and has traveled extensively around the world to countries such as Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. Recently, she was awarded the Golden Pen, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious prizes among Swedish journalists.
